Order of The British Empire

A fine example of a female OBE rarely seen on the market in its original box,these are presented at Buckingham Palace by The Queen.
The box hinge needs a little attention otherwise a great example.

Order of the British Empire (OBE)
What it is: A British order of chivalry and one of the highest honors in the United Kingdom.
Awarded for: A major local role in any activity, or a distinguished national contribution in a specific field like the arts, sciences, business, or public service.
Ranking: It is the second-highest rank in the Order of the British Empire, below a Commander (CBE) and above a Member (MBE).
