Very nice early type Riot helmet as used right from the start of the Troubles 1969 - the mid 1980s .The face shield was made in Northern Ireland in a hurry and was fixed to the first helmets and not removable, so handed over from one unit to the next for twenty years .
This helmet was certainly in the thick of it .
